(American River Coll.),...Davis, a transfer to Azusa Pacific this season, was a consistent part of the ground attack for the Cougars. On the season, Davis had 51 rushes for 184 yards with an average of 3.2 yards per carry and a team-high five touchdowns. His five touchdowns ranked him fifth in the GNAC and seventh in scoring (30 points). In conference games, Davis was 10th in the GNAC in rushing yards. (St. John Bosco),...Murphy stepped into a new role for the Cougars in his senior season, as he was moved from right tackle to center midway through the season to help lead an injured and young offensive line. He was instrumental in providing protection for a Cougar offense that averaged nearly 100 yards rushing per game and a little under 250 yards of passing per game.   A year after defeating Central Washington on the last day of the regular season to secure a share of the conference title, Azusa Pacific is picked to win it all again in the 2019 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Football Preseason Coaches Poll. The Cougars received two of four first-place votes to finish with a total of 24 points. The program enters its eighth season in the GNAC having won or shared four conference titles.
